The image above depicts the "Cliffs" of the Wetumpka Impact Crater. They were formed by the backwash of the tsunami that resulted from the meteor impact about 85 million years ago. We know this because the clay that forms the cliffs is not found in Wetumpka, Alabama. We believe that it may be from the Montgomery, Alabama area.
